Hello all,
New to the forum and wanted to say hello and ask a simply question, hence the reason why I have posted in this forum.

I'm a big ford fan and I currently have a focus ST-3 in performance blue and the wife has a Ka Style in strobe with fogs, heated screen and alloys.

Anyway, the question........... When the car is turned on after approximately 1 minute or so a screehing noise comes from the bay, this is enhanced with the heated front and rear windows switched on. Once the car is warm (which doesn't take long) the noise disapears....... strange. I thought it might be the alternater. Any thoughts.

It's obviously still in warrenty, I justed wanted some ammo for Ford when I speak to them about it.

Anyway thanks for your time.

Hi Jon

Welcome aboard FK-OC.

From what you've said, the screeching does suggested the alternator or the belt causing trouble

Or it could be the cold air feed pipe thats got loose. and makes a rattling 'screeching' effect noise. does the screeching noise stop when you give it a little rev?
